3M announced today an official recall of its original tower climber Lad-Saf sleeve. After 30 years of use, the fall protection equipment has been replaced by a redesigned Lad-Saf sleeve.

According to the recall notice, 3M and its fall protection subsidiary Capital Safety recently reviewed a “limited number” of incidents involving a serious injury or death in the United States while using the sleeve.
